Thanks for asking the question, Nick. In fact, we don't recommend using any of our lights with the stock lighting in the Biocubes because they run too hot and erodes the the life of the LEDs. We would suggest removing the stock lighting and if you want a bit more light, add the 445 blue stunner strip. The blues & magenta are great for the growth and coloring of your coral. Let us know what you decide to do and we LOVE to see before and after pictures on Facebook or email them in and we'll post.

Hi guys! I bought 2 stunner strips from you guys, for my biocube 14, the 8k white/blue and the magenta/blue,
I reversed my stock lights so that the stock blue runs with the fans, and the stunners actually fit perfectly, one one each outer side of the existing bulbs, in the shield!! I was so happy with that. The color is now so beautiful! Heres my question. I have a frogspawn in the middle, two acans towards the top, and some mushrooms down low. Would the 2 stunners and stock blue light alone be enough for the corals I have? Currently I run the stock white bulb for about 4 hrs a day still just to be sure they grow, but they actually seem happyer with just the 2 stunners and the stock blue light, using stock blue for 1hr at dusk/dawn. Just need to know what you think. Awesome product guys. Best bang for the buck in every purchase ive ever made for this tank. Thanks!!

Will the Reek Keeper Lite and it's ALC work with this too? It requires the D-model drivers just like the Apex, although I thought Apex was PWM, guess I'm wrong. Anywho -- the RKL would work yes?
