Greg, his wife Jen and their two kids live in Carlsbad, California just down the road from our offices in San Marcos. They had never had anything beyond bowl fish. We decided they’d be the perfect beta testers for our new Panorama Fixture over an 18 inch cube reef tank. The plug and play, simplicity was easy for them to understand. And since they’d never known any other way, the LED system that caused them no issues made the hobby one that appealed to more than just the kids. “I work late a lot and I loved coming home to find the moonlight on and all the coral glowing. I’d crack open a beer and watch the tank instead of the TV” said our tester, Greg.
Long story short, we had our difficulties getting our equipment back after the test. These guys were hooked. The even better news was that after months with a reef tank, these previously inexperienced fish-keepers looked like real pros. The tank and its inhabitants never looked happier – their kids at our taking the tank away – maybe not so much.
