One of the advantages of the Panorama modular design is the flexibility to change or customize color spectrums. The Panorama includes one, 453nm Stunner that produces a brilliant blue spectrum of light both during the day and at night. You can install up to six Stunner strips to create almost any blue spectrum you like. For an even more dramatic effect, you can also upgrade the Panorama Fixture with our 453nm Actinic Panorama Modules. You can fit up to 2 additional Panorama Modules in the 17.5” fixture and up to 4 additional modules in the 23.5” fixture.
LED’s or Light Emitting Diodes are a source of light that uses semiconductor material. They differ from traditional light in that they do not have a filament that can burn out. They require much less electricity to operate and produce very little heat.
LED’s will produce fantastic shimmering on their own, but to increase the effect you can also agitate the surface of the water by redirecting water flow.
Generally you will want to run your lighting 8-10 hours a day.
Typically, LED’s are rated for 50,000+ hours of operation.
The Panorama Module and the Stunner both work well for Refugiums.
The Panorama Fixture provides light that is appropriate for many types of animals. And because they have places they like to live and places they don’t, we’ve developed a Coral Planning Map to help guide you in the successful placement of your corals for optimal growth and health.
You should always use a cover over your tank. Not only will it prevent escaping fish, but it will also keep incidental splashing from reaching your Panorama Fixture providing a safe operating environment.
It is very important that you always unplug your fixture before accessing the transformers. The Panorama Fixture is equipped with a back up safety feature – auto power shut off. A micro switch shuts the power down if you remove the lid and you’ve forgotten to unplug the power. Even though the micro switch has the power shut off to the fixture, you should still IMMEDIATELY. Always unplug your fixture BEFORE you begin any maintenance or servicing.
The Panorama Fixture is designed to transfer little or no heat into the aquarium. The use of a chiller is only necessary if the ambient temperature is causing your water temperature to rise.
No, each LED Module has it’s own heat sink, this combined with a unique convection cooled design provides all the necessary cooling.
Under standard operating conditions, the fixture is only warm to the touch, not enough to transfer heat into your aquarium.
All inspections and maintenance should be performed with the unit unplugged. We recommend weekly inspection and wipe down of your Panorama Fixture and Modules. Use the included EcoCham to wipe away any visible signs of salt creep from the outer surfaces of the fixture.
LED’s are an extremely efficient form of light. Nearly all of the energy consumed is converted to light, not heat. The Panorama’s Patent Pending floating design, coupled with super-efficient heat sinks, removes what little heat is generated.
Installation is simple and straightforward. All you will need is a pencil, tape measure, drill and a screwdriver. Download complete installation instructions here or view our Installation Video here.

No. The Panorama is designed to be used with the Stand Mount only. It is not recommend for direct placement on the the aquarium. The fixture is completely silent as a result of convection cooling. The Panorama is the safest lighting on the market, but the safest option for you and your animals is to always keep your aquarium covered.
Currently the provided Wall mount kit and Stand Mount is the only recommended mounting option for the Panorama Fixture. This is integral part of the product and will ensure safe and proper performance.

Stunner Strips, available in a variety of color temperatures, offer a great enhancement to dial up shimmering or to add moonlighting. You can also add more of our Panorama Modules for an even more dramatic effect. For instructions on installing our Panorama Modules into a Panorama LED fixture, please download the pdf here.
Three deliberate reasons – 1) the convection-cooled design requires the fixture to be suspended (which has the added benefit that the fixture is absolutely silent). 2) The Stand Mount is designed to make access to the aquarium a breeze. No more lugging your aquarium fixture off the tank each time access is required. 3) the suspended design reduces damage caused by splashing and salt creep.
The Panorama is designed in two basic sizes that can be installed individually or in multiples. This allows you to get the perfect fit for virtually any size aquarium. Due to the nature of dimmers and aquarium controllers on the market, we cannot guarantee compatibility, however the LED drivers we use in the Panorama fixture are dimmable. We also recommend using a 24-hour timer for dawn/dusk controlling.
A 453nm, blue, Stunner has been included with each fixture. It has it’s own switch and power source allowing for a dawn dusk simulation. This is also handy for those who choose to operate a timer with their unit.

Extremely water resistant, but not waterproof, never submerge the unit or purposely expose it to direct water contact.
Under most circumstances, the Panorama Module requires no cooling fan due to the heat sink and convection cooling. Using multiple Panorama Modules may require additional fan cooling if they are reaching temperatures above 55°C. They are equipped with thermal switches which will turn the units off if they are getting too hot.
All inspections and maintenance should be performed with the unit unplugged. We recommend a weekly inspection including wiping away any visible signs of salt creep from the outer surfaces of the modules.

The 403nm wavelength tends to pick up very small suspended solids (even chemicals in the water.) The Stunner is not malfunctioning, its simply showing the minute suspended solids in the water column.
A GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) is a type of electrical outlet that monitors for a current imbalance between the hot and neutral wires and breaks the circuit if that condition occurs like, for example, if the socket gets wet. You should NEVER operate a piece of electric aquarium equipment without a GFCI.
The EcoCham is great for weekly maintenance of your Panorama Fixture as well as general aquarium clean up.
